FEATURED PROGRAM
Master of Science in Environmental Architecture
Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia
About the Program:
Established in 2006, the Environmental Architecture Master’s Program is coordinated through RISE (Research Institute for Sustainable Energy) by solar-e.com co-founder and Director Garry Baverstock. The program imbibes a philosophy of marrying the art of architecture, the science of building and climatology, renewable energy, sustainable economics and the wide spectrum of ecological studies and health aspects of buildings. The course is a springboard for architects to gain a higher level of scientific, social, economic and ecological knowledge for application in their designs. It is also a launching pad to develop new planning, design, and construction ideas to be investigated and tested through new collaborative research and development programs with the building industries and professions.
Global Collaboration Initiative:
The program is designed for extended collaboration with interstate and overseas universities who can offer study streams and wish to provide the mainstream core Dissertation unit themselves. The master’s program is looking to present options to students to undertake part of their studies at other universities via the Internet as well as direct enrolments. Participating universities will benefit from the cross cultural exchange of ideas from visiting students and professors. It will also ensure students the opportunity to stay in touch with global trends, best practice, and latest research results.
For students who are interested in the program and universities who wish to become part of the global collaboration initiative, contact Garry Baverstock.
