Energy Auditing
An energy audit is an inspection, survey and analysis of energy flows for energy conservation in a building, process or system to reduce the amount of energy input into the system without negatively affecting the output. The energy auditing is about saving energy, cutting back on carbon dioxide emissions, and creating a more comfortable workplace or home.

When performing an energy audit of a business one should be considering lighting (using new more efficient lights), heating and cooling (large proportion of energy usage), and computer monitors (newer LCD computer screens use about half the energy of the old cathode-ray tube monitors).
