Who are the DAGS and what do we offer?
We are a mature group of educated and experienced academics, professionals and entrepreneurs who have some thing to offer the world with guidance and mentorship. Our main goal at present is addressing climate change, through adaptation and abatement at the same time.

How do you become a DAG?
Firstly you need to be one, as well as an expert with a sense of humour and a broad vision of the world. Basically you have to be asked to join.
It started in Australia but now has spread to the UK, Germany and the USA. We need DAGS in all countries.

To be a DAG, one must have a great deal of experience, high degree of integrity, cannot be bought by any lobby group or political party, willing to contribute to the betterment of society and have a healthy sense of humor. Being over 50 years old and a bit on the grumpy side can also be an asset. Thin skinned people unable to endure healthy robust logical debate should be not be encouraged to be involved.
The DAGS are the male elders and mentors with still a lot to offer. We are encourage a female version to commence and eventually we are hopeful of some joint discussions and forums.
Perhaps the future WAGS will give a powerful feminine perspective that can contribute to a balance debate. If there are any women interested in such an initiative please contact Wise Earth and we will take steps to facilitate such an organization that complements the contribution of the DAGS.
The wise elder component of decision making has often been neglected in modern economies and has been to the detriment of society. media dominated by powerful lobby groups and the lowest common denominator of public opinion (often poorly informed opinions) has seemed to dominate political agendas.
We need a community base of various age groups that are committed to a sustainable world environment and based economy. At Wise Earth P/L and out solar energy website solar-e.com we are committed to presenting information and appropriate debates that helps change the way the average person become informed, sources information and makes decisions on consumerism, lifestyle and career paths.
The contribution of DAGS and WAGS is leading onto the creation of a new institution that will lead the way in cutting edge progress. Other experts, industry and ethical media outlets will be invited to join us in this quest to present the truth, cutting edge ideas, emerging systems, and strategies, to truly create a Wise Earth for future generations and not just benefit a select few who will not be around to suffer the consequences of Climate Change and the depletion of cheap fossil fuels.
The DAGS will be exploring new ways forward in communicating sensible and logical steps ahead fro a sustainable human population as related to energy supplies. At solar-e we are interested in the public perspective. Positive contributions of opinion are encouraged here and we look forward to any ideas you would like to offer.
